Unable to install assembly in the GAC Error

Jan 7, 2011 at 4:20 PM

Hi, I managed to solve others problems, and now i get this:

     System.ApplicationException: Unable to install assembly in the GAC. This usually indicates either an invalid assembly path or you are not admin.
   at EasyHook.NativeAPI.GacInstallAssembly(IntPtr InContext, String InAssemblyPath, String InDescription, String InUniqueID)
   at EasyHook.Config.Register(String InDescription, String[] InUserAssemblies)
   at HookTest.Program.Main()

the line generating the error is the same as the previous post:

Config.Register(
      "Easy hook test",
       @"Hook Test.vshost.exe",
       @"I:\Documents and Settings\foo\Desktop\Hook Test\TestInject\bin\Debug\TestInject.dll");
I'm running VS2010 as administrator, and the path for the dll is correct, so i really can't see what is causing that error...

I'm having exactly the same problem. Did you ever find a solution?

After hours of trying almost everything I simple chose the .NET 2.0 Framework, important: For the dll and your exe.

Then it worked.

Hope this works for you guys too
